The Lower School Day
Homework
Homework is an essential part of the curriculum. Acquiring the habit of study at home stands children in good stead throughout their education, and helps develop the ability to work independently as well as extend work completed in the classroom.
Lower School (1st to 3rd Form) pupils can expect one hour a night of homework in order to reinforce what is learnt in class, and to develop the investigative and information-gathering skills essential for high standards of coursework in preparation for GCSE.
The Senior School timetable is as below.
Whole School assemblies are held on Monday and Friday afternoons; House meetings are held on Tuesday afternoons; Form Periods take place on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons; PSHCE sessions take place during Period 5 on Fridays.
