Breakfast Club
Please ensure pupils are registered for Breakfast Club at least 24 hours prior to requirement via Pupil Services and that they are brought to the reception desk, no earlier than 07:45, where they will be signed in to school.
Homework
Homework is an essential part of the curriculum. Acquiring the habit of study at home stands children in good stead throughout their education, and helps develop the ability to work independently as well as extend work completed in the classroom.
All pupils are expected to read to an adult every evening for the time set by the class teacher. In addition, pupils have specific tasks set either weekly or daily; the amount of homework each week increases as children progress through the school.
Homework Diary and Reading Record
The homework diary is the main method of communication between parents and the school. The Reading Record is a useful log of reading conducted by each pupil. Prep 6 pupils have a personal Magdalene House Prep School combined reading record and homework diary.
