Notable Old Grammarians
We are proud of all of our former pupils, some have gone on to achieve great things in their careers. Here are just a few:
- Thomas Clarkson – A renowned abolitionist and key figure in the movement to end the slave trade in the United Kingdom.
- Claire Goose – A talented actress known for her roles in popular TV shows such as ‘Waking the Dead’ and ‘The Bill’
- George Russell – A rising star in Formula 1, currently racing for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
- Ali Price – A professional rugby player with an impressive career in rugby, known for his skills on the field as a scrum-half for Edinburgh in the United Rugby Championship and represents Scotland at international level.
We are proud to call them our own and celebrate their successes as part of our School’s legacy.
A Work in Progress
This alumni page is a work in progress, and we are excited to continue expanding it. We will be uploading and backdating past issues of our Riverline magazines dating back to 1972 to showcase the achievements of our old grammarians and the ongoing success of our School community.
