WGS Prep school pupil Lola Harrison has been blazing a trail in the Independent Schools gymnastics arena. In the recent East Midlands Championships, competing in the inaugural disability category, Lola performed exquisitely on floor and the vault to come away with the ‘All-around Gold Medal’ and title of ‘Regional Champion’. The senior boys’ team of Max Bushman and Charlie Tunmore also put in highly credible performances to come away as team bronze medallists.
Director of Sport, Phil Webb said “it is the first time that the School has sent teams to this event and to have such positive results is testament to the dedication and hard work of the pupils and coaches”.
