World Book Day is a registered charity on a mission to give every child and young person a book of their own. It’s also a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In support of this fantastic day, Prep Pupils dressed up as their favourite characters and spent time sharing the stories that are special to them.
“This is a great event, and we are keen to ensure all children enjoy reading and make story-sharing a part of their every day lives. As referenced by World Book Day, reading for pleasure is in decline, so we are more than happy to support this initiative and spark the imagination of every pupil at our School. Our pupils have certainly embraced the day, and the costumes were fantastic. A big thank you must go to families for supporting this event”. (Mrs Neaves, Senior Deputy Head, Prep School)
